Patented in 1948 by the American Lewis George Dymeck, this short barbell is a classic for physical culture and of targeted and analytical exercises (in particular, barbell curls for biceps training).

The model is characterized by a not particularly accentuated “angle” of the bar, which determines a slightly different grip compared to a normal straight barbell. By using the Premium EZ Barbell code 9027P the wrists will in fact be rotated only slightly compared to a normal barbell, i.e. the bent over supinated grip degree will be slightly lower.

The purpose of the barbell is not to determine a “hammer grip”, for which dumbbells or a Triceps Bar may be more suitable, but to establish a lower tendon-muscle lengthening with the primary purpose of making the exercise less stressful. The name EZ, abbreviation of the English word “easy”, has in fact been chosen for this reason, as it is a facilitating barbell from the point of view of joint stress. The Premium EZ Barbell is therefore a valid training alternative for athletes of all levels and can be particularly useful for beginners or for those who have mild joint problems in the elbows and shoulders.
